Deck Resurfacing Service’s
By Affordable Deck Solutions
This is becoming one if our most popular services. I think this crosses most every wood deck owners mind at least once. Especially when it’s time to refinish there deck. I know there thinking then I wish I had a composite deck.
What is deck resurfacing? You may be asking yourself. Deck resurfacing is when we remove your floor boards and railing and replace them with composite boards and rail. Transforming your wood deck into a composite maintenance free deck.
We do a few more things than that but now you understand the idea. No denying the beauty of a redwood deck properly maintained with a nice transparent stain. But unless you just got tons of money to pay some one to do it. It’s probably not going to stay that way. Even the most avid diy’er grows old and tired of sanding and staining. Especially when we have record hi temps in the summer.
If your sick of all that sweating on hot a summer day. Refinishing your Deck year after year I present to you the idea of Deck Resurfacing. Now this isn’t for everyone. It could be done most everywhere but if your Deck frame is old and rotted and depending on your joist spacing (i.o.c.) I would be doing you a disservice by doing this. Ideally your Deck would been built fairly recent. I don’t recommend this on an older deck. If you do this on an older deck you run the risks of having to replace joist early into your new deck. Which in turn could lead to ugly screw holes and such from the repairs.
One of the extras we include with this service is we add a water barrier tape to help extend the life of your joist. Sometimes extra joist may also need to be added depending on your current spacing and how you plan to run your floor boards. Biggest part is getting your frame strong and secure. After that we move on to adding your new floor boards ( Trex, Fiberon, TimberTech, Infinity, Deckorators, Evergrain, Veranda and more ) then we move on to adding your rail system.
You have a wide variety in choices you could go with the matching composite railing. Looking for something more modern. Look no further than Iron Fortress Railing this also is a lifetime product virtually maintenance free that we love installing. We’ve also had some people like the look of redwood rails with metal balusters installed.
